Data deletion
How to delete the data PostAi holds about you.
Last updated: October 24, 2026 · Effective: October 24, 2026
What gets deleted
- Connected Instagram accounts: account ID, username, profile picture URL and the encrypted access token.
- Automations: your rules (keywords, reply variants, DM text and selected posts) and the activity log of processed comments (comment text, commenter username and ID).
- Your PostAi account: anonymous identifier, plan status, post balance and its history, and your push notification token.
Generated images and your history are stored only on your device: delete them in the App or uninstall it. Data held by Apple, Google (purchases and ads) and our other providers is handled under their own policies, and we may keep minimal records when the law requires it. Deleting your data does not cancel an active subscription: cancel it first in your store settings (see the Subscription Terms).
Option 1: in the app
- Open PostAi and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete my data and confirm.
Your Instagram accounts are disconnected and the data listed above is deleted right away. To remove a single Instagram account only, go to the Automate tab › the account › Disconnect.
Option 2: from Instagram
- In the Instagram app, open Settings › Website permissions (or Apps and websites).
- Find PostAi under Active and tap Remove.
Meta lets us know immediately: we stop processing your comments and delete the access token. If you also send a data deletion request through Meta, we delete all the data of that Instagram account (profile, token, rules and activity log) at once and Meta shows you a confirmation code. You can check its status on this page at any time.
Option 3: by email
Write to support@post-ai.app with the subject "Data deletion request" and the Instagram username(s) you connected, if any. Because PostAi has no traditional login, we may ask you to confirm that you own the account. We complete email requests within 30 days.
When it happens
Requests made in the App or through Meta are processed immediately. Residual copies may remain in our backups for a limited time until they are overwritten. Activity log entries are deleted automatically after 30 days in any case.
